Introduction to Garment Construction - Fridays

This class returns in Fall

This class is geared toward the sewist who is interested in learning how to construct garments.  The course will cover selecting a size, pattern layout and cutting, marking a pattern and or course, construction techniques.

This will be taught in a true learn-by-doing manner. 

Select a pattern that is labeled “easy, 2-hour, learn to sew or beginner.” In general, a pattern with fewer pieces will go together quicker. Garments like pajama pants, simple skirts, jackets and bath robes are good choices.

Bring to the first class:

**Bring your pattern, fabric and all necessary supplies and notions to class, pins and pin cushion.

This class is most appropriate for those who have taken the “Get to Know the Machine Class” or have some knowledge of operating a machine.
